Promise of a lifetime

Espio was enjoying the breeze as he speed through the forest jumping from one tree branch to another. Suddenly, he stopped hearing a soft cry. He looked around the forest in thought, ' That cry....it sounded like.' he quickly looked down seeing Sibyl running. Espio turned to see Sibyl running from the opposite direction to where he's going. He followed her until he reached to a small pond where Sibyl had stopped to drown her sorrows. He jumped down quietly walking behind the crouching black female hedgehog. He got down on one knee, '' Sibyl? Are you ok?'' he asked, wondering why she's crying. Sibyl immediately tackled Espio to the ground holding on to him crying. Espio took the tackled by surprise as he sit up half way with Sibyl crying in his chest. He helped her up holding her. Espio closed his eyes in thought. ' What could be troubling her? Did something happen to her? I don't see no scratches or uncertain marks on her body. What could be troubling her.' Before he could ask her. '' Espio, are you going to leave me?'' Espio open his eyes half way holding her close. '' What makes your think that? You know I'm not going to leave you.'' Sibyl body shivered as she pictured herself alone and scared. '' Its just....I see myself crying as your with someone else. Then when we get that chance to be alone to talk you told me that your with someone and that I should be happy for you. I can't be happy for you. I just feel hatred. Not to you but to me.'' she sobs. Espio sighed lowly. '' Sibyl. No matter what people do or say. You will always be mine. Listen, I know your going through alot. But you have to remember that no matter what pain you go through I will always be yours.'' Sibyl open her eyes half way with tears running down her face. '' Espio...what if that day comes. What if'' Espio silenced her by putting his finger on her lips as he looks deeply into her eyes. '' Sibyl, your the only girl I'm interested in. I don't care what condition you have. Bi polar or not you will always be mine. Your heart is fragile but filled with the warmth and kindness. Your a good girl. And no one can never replace you. I love you, Sibyl. And I will never leave you. Your all I ever need to make my heart complete. That's a promise of a lifetime.'' With that said Sibyl's heart melt with his words as they were calming her soul. She hugged him not wanting to let him go. Her eyes watered as she was crying again. But this time, she is not sad. She is happy to feel that Espio will always be there for her until the end of time.
